Rochester man facing charges after hit-and-run on Clifford Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police charged a man in connection to a hit-and-run on Clifford Avenue that left a man in critical condition.

It happened near Joseph Avenue at around 11 p.m. Thursday.


The 36-year-old victim was taken to URMC by AMR.

Qasem Rashed, 24, of Rochester was charged with leaving the scene of a serious physical injury, driving while ability impaired by drugs and speeding.

The Rochester Police Department says additional charges are likely.

Rashed was issued an appearance ticket.
