Rochester police investigating homicide near Athens Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Police Department is investigating a homicide near Athens Street and Harris Street.

Officers responded to the scene just before 11:00 p.m. Saturday.

They found a Rochester man in his 30’s that had been shot multiple times. He was taken to Strong Hospital where he later died.

So far no arrests have been made.

This is an active investigation and police say they are not prepared to release any additional information at this time, including the victim’s identity.
