ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC has learned of the passing of a Rochester Police officer.
The Barnard Professional Firefighters page on Facebook says officer Ryan Paprocki suffered a medical emergency off duty over the weekend and died. On Thursday, the Rochester Police Department said Paprocki had a sudden aneurysm rupture in his brain.
According to his obituary, Paprocki was 41 years old. He grew up in Irondequoit and leaves behind a wife and two sons.
Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home. Paprocki will be laid to rest Saturday morning at 11 a.m., at St. Kateri at Christ the King Church.
RPD said it's not releasing any further details out of respect for his family.
