Rochester Police perform life-saving measures on man found shot

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police responded to the midblock of Watkin Terrace for a report of a male who had been shot Saturday afternoon.

According to police, at approximately 3:30 Saturday afternoon, the first responding officer observed a male down in the middle of the road. The male had multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers immediately began life-saving measures which included applying to tourniquets.

The gunshot victim is a 46-year-old resident from Rochester. He is receiving treatment at strong Memorial Hospital, where authorities say his condition is life-threatening.

Watkin Terrace is closed between Hudson Avenue and North Street as the investigation is still ongoing.
