Rochester woman dies 2 days after hatchet attack

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police are investigating a murder after a woman who was attacked with a hatchet died from her injuries.

Police say Heather Majors, 47, was struck with a hatchet on Chili Avenue around 1:15 a.m. on July 10. She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say she died on July 12.

No suspects are in custody. Police say this does not appear to be a random attack but did not release additional details.
