RochesterWorks!, Monroe County partnering to hold more job fairs in 2022

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County and City of Rochester employment resources are pooling their resources in a bid to help job seekers as well as employers.

The Monroe Job Opportunities Integrated Network (JOIN) and RochesterWorks! are partnering up to make job fairs—both neighborhood and virtual—more available.

The first event will be on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at the Henrietta Public Library at 625 Calkins Rd. from 10 a.m. to noon. Click here for more information.

Starting on Feb. 17, RochesterWorks! will hold bi-monthly job fairs at the Monroe Community College Downtown campus on State Street.

The virtual job fairs will also start in February. The county says it’s aiming to hold at least 10 of them this year. Employers will be able to create a “virtual booth” to share information about their organization, as well as video or social media links. Job seekers will be able to create an online profile and upload their resumes.

Another event is planned for March 16 at the Town of Webster Recreation Center at 1350 Chiyoda Dr. from 10 a.m. to noon.
