ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — After a hiatus last year due to the lockdown, the Rochester Contemporary Art Center will be hosting its 14th International Small Art Phenomenon this summer. Also known as “6x6,” thousands of original artworks, made and donated by celebrities, international and local artists, designers and youth from around the world are sent in to help contribute to RoCo’s annual fundraiser.
This is the one and only fundraiser for the Art Center, which helps the art center with its future exhibitions for the remainder of the year.
During the exhibition, each artwork is on sale to the public and sold anonymously for up to $20.
Participation is free. Artists are allowed to submit up to three pieces of art. The artwork must be six inches squared and signed only on the back. Artwork cannot contain any glitter.
April 10 is the deadline for entries, and April 12 is the last day to have the art postmarked if mailing in.
