ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – A daring photographer had to be rescued Friday from a train trestle bridge over the Genesee River.

The Rochester Fire Department was called to the area of Vixette St. and Genesee St. just before 8 a.m. for the report of a person dangling from the bridge. It turns out a photographer was taking pictures from a swing.

With a rescue boat waiting beneath, firefighters set up a rescue rope system, repelled down, secured the victim and brought her to safety. The rescue took about 40 minutes. No one was hurt.

Rochester Police said the woman would not be ticketed.
