RPD identifies Frost Avenue shooting victim

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Police Department is investigating Tuesday night homicide.

Police say 25-year-old Marese Logan was shot at least once in the upper body in front of a home in the 400 block of Frost Avenue around 8:25 p.m.

Neighbors and shot-spotter alerted police to the shooting, and police captain Frank Umbrino said AMR performed life-saving measures, but Logan was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Police say that the shooting does not appear to be a random occurrence. No suspects are in custody at this time. 

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or email majorcrimes@cityofrochester.gov.
