ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Police Department has released the full body camera footage of a traffic stop and deadly police shooting of a Rochester man.

WARNING: This video may have disturbing language and imagery. Viewer discretion is advised.

The incident happened on Glasser Street around 4:20 a.m. Friday.

A man in his 20s was shot and killed during the traffic stop, which happened after a ShotSpotter activation. At a press conference Friday, RPD Chief Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan said at least nine shots were fired, but she did not specify by who.

Neighbors described hearing several shots fired early in the morning.

In both videos, you can hear the officers say that the man had a gun in the car when they were telling him to step out.

The video does show officers retrieving that gun from the car after that man was shot. The man was later identified as Mark Gaskill.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and it will be led by the New York State Attorney General's Office
