ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Regional Health is expanding its rooftop honey bee program.
News10NBC first told you about it last summer when Unity Hospital became the first hospital upstate to launch the program.
This summer, the program has expanded to add honey bee hives at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, Rochester General Hospital and United Memorial Medical Center.
In total, there are about two million bees between all five hospital roofs.
The bees' honey will be bottled and available for employees, patients and visitors to purchase.
