ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Scheduling appointments for a new COVID vaccine clinic in Rochester is set to start up Wednesday morning.
The clinic is set to officially open on March 3 at the old Kodak Hawkeye parking lot at 1345 St. Paul Street, but scheduling begins Wednesday at 8 a.m. The site should appear on the state's COVID vaccine website.
Announced last week, the clinic is part of a partnership between New York State and the federal government. Governor Cuomo said the government created this site specifically to reach communities of color and people who live in disadvantaged neighborhoods who have not been able to get appointments.
Appointments for the first week will be open for people who live in designated city neighborhoods only.
To be eligible, you have to live in one in a neighborhood in one of the following zip codes:

Scheduling will open up to all eligible county residents after the first week.
There are people available to help residents sign up for an appointment at Rochester libraries and R-centers, including navigators. You can also call 311.
