ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Former Rochester Police Chief La’Ron Singletary’s attorneys released a statement on his lawsuit against the city of Rochester Friday.

It’s a response to the City of Rochester’s comments calling Singletary’s lawsuit "frivolous."

The statement reads "We are prepared to present all evidence supporting these claims to a sworn jury."

This follows the former chief’s notice of claim that he filed on Dec. 3.

In it, he accuses Mayor Lovely Warren of asking him to lie about the death of Daniel Prude.
