Six-time convicted felon accused of assaulting gas station clerk in Gates

GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) — A six-time convicted felon was arrested again after an alleged series of crimes.

Gates Police say at around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday Roberto Santos assaulted a clerk at a gas station on Spencerport Road and stole cash and cigarettes.

He's then accused of leading police on a chase through Gates, Greece and Rochester before crashing the stolen car he was driving on Dewey Avenue and entering someone’s house.

Santos is facing charges of second-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny and unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.

He was also charged with traffic violations.

The car he was driving was stolen from Wayne County.
