ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The State Comptroller is praising Rochester school leaders after an audit of next year's budget.
The auditors say the superintendent and Rochester School Board have taken action to improve the accuracy of projections and to restore the district's overall financial health.
While auditors found revenue projections to be accurate, they say charter school tuition is underbudgeted by about $1.5 milllion.
The budget is still imbalanced because the district is to approve a waiver to use $10 million for operation costs rather than capital purposes.
