ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police arrested a man and a teenager in connection with more than 20 burglaries in the city's 19th Ward.
Officers were called to a home on Chili Avenue on Thursday around 5:30 a.m. for a reported burglary.
When police arrived, they spotted two people running from the scene. Both were arrested after a brief foot chase.
Officers charged 20-year-old Michael Nash and a 17-year-old boy, both from Rochester, with third-degree burglary.
Investigators say Nash and the teenager are responsible for more than 20 garage and shed burglaries as well as multiple thefts from vehicles in the 19th Ward area.
The teen was given an appearance ticket to appear in family court.
