Teen injured in shooting in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A teenage boy was wounded in a shooting in the area of First Street and Central Park just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday night, according to Rochester Police.

RPD responded to reports of shots fired. When they got to the scene they found evidence of those shots, but they did not find any victims there.

A short time later, officer learned that a 17-year-old male was admitted to Strong Hospital with at least one gunshot wound. The 17-year-old is expected to physically recover from his injuries. No word yet on any suspects, but RPD tells News10NBC it is investigating the incident.
