ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Little Theatre is reopening Friday after closing to the public last March, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The iconic downtown movie venue will welcome people back with an initial Friday through Sunday schedule. Only the Little 2-5 and Cafe building on Winthrop Street will be open at that time.

It's the first time the general public will be in since March 14, 2020, but private screenings were previously held.

Tickets went on sale online Monday for two Oscar Best Picture contenders: "Nomadland" and "Minari." Tickets will also be available to purchase at the box office, but will be limited.

There will be matinees along with evening shows on Fridays and Saturdays, and matinees only on Sundays.

In March, the Little released information regarding mask requirements, reduced capacity, and assigned seating. Click here to read their guidelines.
