The Margaret Home is a space for expectant mothers who are in need of shelter, food, clothing, and a safe place to grow.
Not only are residents given a place to stay in their time of need, they're also guided through a program designed to address areas of life that have been previously neglected or overlooked.
The goal is to help pregnant women develop a sense of self, and to help them change the course of their lives in a supportive environment.
"The program itself addresses that desire for that woman to walk along a path towards change in her own life and we accompany her in that, providing a soft landing spot with food, shelter, a warm space, all free of charge" said Paula Belemjian, president of the Margaret Home.
The Home is completely funded by the community. Paula and her team are holding a "mommy and me" fundraising sale in East Rochester on October 17. To learn more about the sale or to donate, give them a call at (585) 330-7127 or visit The Margaret Home's website by clicking here.
