ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Tops is now allowing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) eligible customers to pay for Instacart same-day pickup or delivery orders with their EBT cards.

Tops said customers who want to pay for their order with their EBT cards must link a working debit or credit card to their Instacart account in order to cover non-food fees like bottle deposits, taxes and delivery tips and for non-EBT SNAP-eligible items.

Customers can enter their ZIP codes through Instacart or Tops to determine if they are near a participating Tops location.

Tops said customers can choose how much of their order they want to pay for using SNAP benefits.

Instacart is waiving delivery and pickup fees through Sept. 16 on up to three EBT SNAP orders.
