Town of Greece Police Chief officially sworn in

GREECE, N.Y. (WHEC) — There’s officially a new chief in the Town of Greece after Police Chief Michael Wood was sworn in on Wednesday night.

The retired Rochester Police Deputy Chief had been in the role since mid-December.

Wood previously served in New York State’s Division of Criminal Justice Services.

He’s served in law enforcement for 34 years.

Greece police have been without a "top cop" since former chief Andrew Forsythe resigned after pleading guilty to DWAI and leaving the scene of a property damage accident in December after an investigation into a car crash that happened in October.
