ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Until normal operations resume at the University of Rochester Medical Center, it will continue to lose millions of dollars a week.
URMC says open and replacement staff positions are now frozen, and some executives will take salary reductions.
However, all offers made for incoming nurses and clinical support will be honored.
The medical center expects to continue recruiting doctors, nurses and other employees who provide patient care.
The pause on elective surgeries has led to revenue losses of more than $130 million dollars a month.
