ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A water main break in Rochester has shut down Irving Place and slowed traffic on West Main Street.
The water main break, which is affecting the areas between Plymouth Avenue and State/Exchange Streets, is a "Holley" line that is used for fire services. Water services are not affected.
West Main Street itself had been shut down for a time because of the break, but is now open to traffic, although movement is slowed.
Irving Place will remain closed until further notice as crews work to resolve the issue.
