Wegmans holding hiring events this month

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Wegmans Food Markets is trying to fill positions in its Rochester-area and Southern Tier stores.

The grocery chain is hiring cooks, servers, bartenders, and food service workers in the Rochester area and looking to fill positions in all departments in the Southern Tier, including front-end, culinary, perishable departments, and pharmacy.

Wegmans is holding a hiring event at the Pittsford Wegmans at 3195 Monroe Ave. on Monday, Oct. 4, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

It’s encouraging applicants to fill out an application in advance online.

The Southern Tier hiring event is virtual and will be held on Thursday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Click here to submit an online application.

For both events, a member of Wegmans’ hiring team will contact applicants to set up a time for a phone interview.

Some of the available positions come with a sign-on bonus of up to $500 for part-time jobs and up to $1,000 for full-time jobs.
