ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — This year's cancer-fighting Wilmot Warrior Walk is underway, albeit with a new and more virtual look.
The event, held by the Wilmot Cancer Institute, helps raise money for cancer research. It's in its eigth year.
Due to the pandemic, this year's walk has gone virtual, with participants posting their walk to social media using the hashtag #wilmotwarrior. So far, the event has raised over $83,000, with a goal of $100,000 by Sunday night.
