ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The weekend is far from bad, but we will need to work around a little bit of wet weather. Some showers may start Saturday morning with a weak boundary meandering overhead. We'll also see a mostly cloudy morning, but any showers should be light on Saturday.

Then, we will clear things out, leading to a sunnier and seasonably warm afternoon. We'll be watching some dying convection from the upper Midwest Saturday night into Sunday, which may bring a few more showers, maybe some thunder.

At this point, Sunday midday and into the afternoon may bring a better chance at some thunder as a cold front approaches. Sunday will likely also be the warmer weekend day, with highs in the lower 80s, as long as any wet weather holds off until the afternoon. In all, Saturday is still looking like the drier of the weekend days.

A cold front finally pushes south on Monday, with one more chance of a few showers, maybe a storm, mainly during the afternoon, then we'll dry things out and cool things off a bit. We'll drop below average in the temperature department Tuesday through Thursday, with highs holding around 70 on Wednesday. But, we should see a good deal of sun returning and lower humidity. So, get ready for a few very comfortable late Spring days next week, with a stretch of dry weather.

Overall, we're still looking at a cooler than average temperature trend next week and into next weekend, though we'll see typical ups and downs, with a few warm days in the mix.
