ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Our streak of above freezing temperatures continues on Wednesday, as yet another fast-moving system will pass by to our north, briefly drawing in much milder air.

Temperatures overnight willy only drop toward the freezing point under a mostly cloudy sky. A warm front kicks through overnight, lifting our temperatures into the upper 40s, with a few spots in the Finger Lakes possibly making it into the lower 50s, with some breaks of sun.

We will feel full on Spring Fever, if only for a few hours. A cold front quickly follows, which will drop us back into the 30s by evening with scattered rain showers developing by early afternoon. Winds will also pick up. Initially, winds will be out of the south, with some gusts to 30 mph, but we'll see some gusts increasing to 40 mph during the late afternoon/evening hours as the colder air streams in.

Then, we're back to February by Thursday morning with some flakes flying and temperatures back in the 20s. Snow shouldn't accumulate more than a coating on Thursday, but be aware of wet spots on roads and driveways turning icy as temperatures drop fairly quickly Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

Outside of this, we'll see some sunshine returning later Thursday into Friday, with temperatures warming back into the 40s by the weekend.
