ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — It took some time, but we saw some nice clearing on Friday. That will lead to a chilly night Friday night, with frost likely Saturday morning. Frost Advisories are up from midnight through 9 a.m. Saturday. A widespread, and possibly killing frost is a possibility, especially south of the Thruway. If you have any potted plants that you're trying to keep alive a little longer, you'll want to bring them in. Otherwise, throw another blanket on the bed, and enjoy the frosty morning!
The weekend still looks quite nice, with a mostly sunny sky and mid to upper 50s on Saturday. Sunday will feature more clouds and a bit of a breeze, but slightly milder air, making it into the lower 60s.
Our weather becomes much more active next week. A stationary boundary will hover over the region, with several waves of low pressure moving along it. This will bring in several pushes of milder air along with some rain, followed by a bout of cooler air. This will cycle through a few times next week. So, the difficulty remains in the exact timing and track of these waves of low pressure. Stay tuned as the forecast gets massaged in the coming days.
