ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)—  We have seen a little light snow overnight into this morning that brought a coating to an inch on grassy surfaces, with locally higher totals in Orleans County.

So far the roads are just wet, but that may change for a couple of hours this morning as snow will be on the increase between 7-8 a.m. and may fall hard enough for a couple of hours to cause some slick spots to develop mid-morning. Be prepared for changeable conditions as you head out this morning through midday.

The snow will taper to snow showers after the lunch hour with just light additional accumulations into the afternoon.

The record snowfall for this date is 1.5" from 1978. We may be able to break that record later this morning.

It'll be cold and breezy into tonight and tomorrow with snow showers and flurries. Milder weather returns Friday into Saturday and melts the snow away.
