Scholar Athlete of the Week: Myles Blackwood

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Aquinas star Myles Blackwood is able to crossover the balance between basketball and the books.
When he’s not leading the Lil’ Irish to a Section V championship, Blackwood is helped his three brothers in the classroom.
"Whenever they ask a question, I’m there for them. I’ll put my books down to help them," Blackwood said.
The budding star looks to play basketball collegiately – just unsure of his next school. But when he gets there, Blackwood will be ready to excel even more in the classroom, with goals of getting his Master’s degree.
On the court, Blackwood’s a natural, studying the game since a toddler.
"Ever since I can remember, my dad put a basketball in my hands, and I loved it ever since," said Blackwood.
His dedication to school and sports is what earns Myles Blackwood our Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
