Bills shut down Patriots, re-take AFC East lead

FOXBOROUGH, MA (WHEC) – The Buffalo Bills won their first AFC East game on Thursday night, topping the New England Patriots 24-10 at Gillette Stadium.

Josh Allen was 22-for-33 for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus another 20 rushing yards. Stefon Diggs was his top receiver, catching 7 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. Gabe Davis had the other receiving touchdown.

On the ground, Buffalo ran 37 times for 132 yards and a touchdown, which came from Devin Singletary.

Defensively, the Bills held the Patriots to just 242 total yards of offense.

The win moves Buffalo to 9-3 and first place in the AFC East. It also is the first win over a divisional opponent for the Bills. However, Miami still holds the tiebreaker, and can re-claim first place with a win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
