Allen makes progress with elbow injury, may play against Jets

The Bills might be getting off this crazy quarterback carousel quite soon.

We haven't seen rookie quarterback Josh Allen since that week six loss in Houston where he suffered an elbow sprain to his right throwing arm.

However, there was progress on Wednesday! He was still limited but he was throwing and could possibly be in the lineup this Sunday against the Jets.

"You know, I'm not sure. We're still taking it day by day, just trying to work through if there's any soreness or stiffness and just trying to get back into the swing of playing football again. I was limited at practice, but it felt good throwing the ball," said Allen.

"It was good. I thought he looked good today, very fluid, and he looked like his normal self. That was good to see. I'm sure he's excited to work towards being 100 percent. There has been a carousel at quarterback for injuries and things like that so it's good to see Josh coming back and leading this team. It would be a great start for us," added wide receiver Zay Jones.

"He looked good. I mean, we know what type of arm he's got and I didn't see any slacking off at all," said cornerback Tre'Davious White. "This would be good for this whole team. We know what type of energy he brings, what type of swagger, so I'm looking forward to Sunday and watching him get out there and play good."

While it's still up in the air if Josh Allen will take the field, one rookie play caller certainly will not be making an appearance Sunday.

Jets quarterback Sam Darnold apparently has a severe foot sprain, and was reportedly walking around practice in a boot. He will not suit up against the Bills.
