There are plenty of veteran leaders on the Bills defense, but for every Lorenzo Alexander who rotates in as a linebacker, the Bills have a player in his first or second season seeing as much or even more time on defense.
Despite the atrocious start to the season for Buffalo, the Bills have the seventh ranked defense in the entire league.
However, a lot of that is due to the young players that were drafted just within the last two seasons.
Tre'Davious White has started every game he's ever played, same is true for middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.
There's plenty of other young impact players including Matt Milano, Harrison Phillips and Taron Johnson, and Sean McDermott says that they're going to get even better.
"We have some young players that are two games more experienced than they were two games ago, and you're seeing some of that this past Sunday, or the last two Sunday's with Taron and Tremaine, and Tre' Davious, still a second year player. Matt Milano, making big time contributions. We have to continue to work hard and I know they'll do that. These guys take a lot of pride in their work."
