Bills hoping to keep up defensive game after they ‘squished the fish’

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Buffalo Bills went 35-0 against the Miami Dolphins Sunday.

Even though Buffalo was tied for the third-most points scored in week 2, the defense took center stage.

The Dolphins only had two drives over 50 yards and three others with negative net yardage.

Buffalo forced a pair of turnovers and five punts and kept the Dolphins from the end zone all three times they were on the doorstep.

When asked about the strength of the line, defensive lineman A.J. Epenesa pointed to no one putting themselves above anyone else.

“It’s just a lot of a ‘team first’ mentality,” Epenesa said. “Having events like Jerry and Mario, and it’s a blessing in disguise right there, just because having two veterans on the team that have been in league for a very long time, they can have their own way, what they want to be doing, but the are here for the team, there for the other d-lineman as well, and then all the young guys are here to push each other, help each other improve and just having a well-rounded d-lineman like that, I mean, it helps each and every one of us get better.”
