ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) - The Bills have themselves a QB. They've got themselves a reliable receiver and a few other hopeful ones.

The running game is looking to become the final piece to that puzzle. A room made of seven backs, not the least of which is James Cook.

"Just get better and getting in better shape and just learning as much as I can," said Bills 2022 2nd round draft pick James Cook.

And the dynamic in the running backs room has been solid so far.

"Is all love, is already like a brotherhood,” said Devin Singletary, who is entering his fourth season in the NFL. “We're just learning from each other, you know what I'm saying? We all learn from each other. I'm just trying to get better day in and day out, but it's been fun."

"The pressure's always on to perform in the run game, right?” Bills center Mitch Morse said. “It naturally sets everything else. Puts you in positions where you're not relying on the pass and putting guys who want to hunt the quarterback in that position."

So statistically, speaking, Buffalo was toward the top half of the league in key rushing stats last year. But it's no secret Josh Allen accounted for a decent amount of that so far in camp. Some encouraging signs from the running back room.

Buffalo hopes they can get that part of the game where they like it to be by the time the season starts in early September.
