Buffalo Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHEC)— Buffalo Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Week following Buffalo’s big win over the Houston Texans last Sunday.

Edmunds racked up five total tackles, defended a pass, and nabbed one of the team’s four interceptions in the 40-0 rout. The five tackles lead the team.

He leads the team with 21 total tackles through four games.

It’s the first time Edmunds has earned the weekly honor. It’s yet another weekly nod for the team, as quarterback Josh Allen was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week last week.

Edmunds and the Bills travel to Kansas City this Sunday night for a primetime showdown with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. You can catch that game at 8:20 p.m. on News10NBC.
