ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — We all know that Josh Allen is never satisfied. After all, expectations are high for the fourth-year quarterback after last season.
Bills Offensive Coordinator Brian Daboll says that, much like a golf swing, Allen is always working on his mechanics.
"His follow-through, his base, his movement in the pocket - he does those things, I would say religiously, throughout the offseason," Daboll said. "Each year, he's, obviously, learned a little bit more about the system. He's a grinder. He loves to practice, and he's competitive in the meeting rooms, but he's not relying on what happened a year before or anything like that. That's what I appreciate about him, too. He's turned the page really quick. You start over. You re-install things. You tweak things."
The Bills also brought in a new weapon for Allen this season. Veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders rounds out an elite receiving corps.
"He's flexible in terms of being able to play inside and outside," Daboll said. "He's had a lot of experience. He's played in a lot of different teams and a little of different systems. He's got a really good football mind. He's an instinctive player. We'll give him as much as he can handle, which, to this point, he's been able to handle all the different spots that we put him in."
Sanders was at OTAs last week but was not at practice Tuesday. Also from that group, Stefon Diggs and Isaiah McKenzie were not at practice either.
