ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Bills fans have plenty to smile securing their second straight division title after Week 18’s win against the Jets. Not the least of those celebrations is another mark Josh Allen reached after the win.
Last year's Pro Bowler becomes the first player in NFL history to finish a season with more than 4,000 passing yards and 750 rushing yards. He's also the first to throw for that many yards and at least 30 touchdowns while running in eight.
Number 17 finishes the regular season right behind Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes for the most TDs passes in the NFL.
"I think with the knowledge that we've gained over the last couple of years, obviously, the main goal is to win a super bowl," Allen said. "Tooth and nail we were going to find a way to get to the playoffs and fortunate enough to win the East."
"We tailored our system specifically towards him and we have all the trust and faith in him and he's grown since he's been here as a rookie," Offensive Coordinator Brian Daboll said.
The Bills will host the Patriots on Saturday in the AFC Wild Card game.
