ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) — This time last week we were talking about the Bills’ struggles to score points, now we're seeing how quickly things can change in one week.
The Bills’ 37 points on Sunday were the most they scored in a game all season and the team says it's not just a one-time thing.
"Previous weeks, we were this close,” Bills quarterback Josh Allen said, “we were this close. We finally got a game where I thought we put together a string of really good drives. Now we got to continue that."
"It just shows us as a unit that if we keep doing things right, then good things will happen," Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins said.
This offensive resurgence is making good things happen for the entire team.
"I just saw a lot guys out there that wanted to play ball,” Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds said, “a lot of hungry guys out there on all three phases - offense, defense, special teams. I just saw that guys that wanted to make plays, and when you have guys like that - it's hard to beat us."
The offense will now face a bigger test this weekend as they welcome in the Denver Broncos, who are ranked 4th in the league in total defense.
"Their defense is pretty dang good. they've been playing pretty good since I think week 5 or 6,” Allen said. “They've been tops in almost every category so we got to be on our p's and q's. We got to be ready to handle whatever they throw at us early and ultimately go out and execute how we know we can."
Today Josh Allen said the team has really found its identity and when asked what that identity is, he said that it's “whatever it takes.”
