Once the 2018-19 season is over, current owner Curt Styres is moving the players and coaches who are under contract to Halifax Nova Scotia.

The Knighthawks name stays in Rochester, but the new team will be treated as an expansion team.

As far as the Pegulas owning two teams in the same league, an official from the NLL says that won't be a problem.

"They're going to have their own roster here, their own coach, their own general manager," stated Dave Rowan, NLL COO. "We're honored that the Pegulas say 'we want to invest more we believe in the product, we believe in the sport', it's a great comment for the rest of the league."
