BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHEC)— If you plan to go to a Buffalo Bills game, you now will be required to show proof of vaccination.

Erie County health leaders, and reps from Pegula Sports and Entertainment announced new health and safety measures at the stadium Tuesday afternoon. Proof of vaccine will be required for all guests 12 and over. Children under 12 will be allowed to attend, but wear masks at all times.

The new mandate goes into effect on September 26th, when the Bills host the Washington Football Team.  The rules at Key Bank Center will start on Sept. 25 with the Eric Church concert. By those dates, you'll need to show proof of at least one dose.   You'll need to be fully vaccinated by October 31st and thereafter.

County leaders say despite a mask mandate in indoor portions of the stadium, during Sunday's game against the Steelers, they observed fewer than half of fans wearing masks.

Fans need to show proof via their vaccination card, New York's Excelsior Pass, or other digital vaccine cards.  No photocopies will be allowed.
