The wild ride to victory is something the Pittsford players still can't believe.

"It was unbelievable," said forward Zack Quinton before Thursday's skate session at RIT's Ritter Arena. "I've never had more fun in a game and I've never been more stressed at the same time."

Junior goaltender Alex Tidd was named the game's MVP after a brilliant 43-save performance and shared the same sentiment.

"I think that was one of the wildest games I've ever played in my entire life. I couldn't be more proud of my team. I'm at a loss for words. I still think about that game and watch it on my computer every night," said Tidd.

The standout performance was one he was not expecting to have.

"Honestly, when we came out to warm up, I thought I was going to have a terrible night," Tidd admitted. "During the ice cut in between the warm-up and the game, I sprayed water all over my face and back and I was ready to go after that."

As for the game-winning goal that ended the sudden-victory double overtime?

It was scored by eighth-grader Brian judge. He also didn't expect to have such a breakout moment.

"I thought I was going to miss the net because the puck was wobbling. I did not expect it to go in but it all worked out I guess."

Needless to say, their All-Star performance Tuesday has them feeling much more confident heading into States.

"This whole team has been picking it up and we've realized we can do it all man," Tidd said.

Quinton echoed his sentiment.

"Oh yeah, our confidence level is definitely raised, especially since we have younger guys. We know what we're capable of now and I think we can really get this thing done."

Pittsford will play Corcoran in the State Regionals Saturday in Syracuse.
