Rochester Americans announce schedule changes after COVID postponements

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Three games were re-scheduled and another was moved to accomodate the Amerks.

COVID-19 issues caused multiple cancelations for Rochester Americans games in early December. Those have now been re-scheduled to dates throughout 2022 as the AHL aims to keep a full season of hockey.

Home games against Syracuse on Dec. 1, Springfield on Dec. 3, and an away game against Syracuse on Dec. 4 have now been officially pushed to 2022.

The home game against the Crunch will now be played on Jan. 5 at 7:05 p.m. at Blue Cross Arena. The Thunderbirds home game will be on Apr. 19. at 7:05 p.m.

The road game in Syracuse will be on Mar. 13 at 5 p.m.

One more game against the Belleville Senators will also be moved. It was previously scheduled for Jan. 5 at Blue Cross Arena, but because of the Crunch game now on that date, the Senators game will be played on Apr. 15 at 7:05 p.m. at home.

Purchased tickets will automatically be accepted on the new re-scheduled date. If that conflicts with fans being able to attend, the Amerks will allow those tickets to be good at any other game on the 2021-22 slate.
