BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Sabres captain had a conference call with reporters Thursday to rehash how the season went prior to what could be an extremely long offseason.
Drafted second overall by Buffalo, Jack Eichel is yet to reach the playoffs and has never had a winning record as a pro.
"Listen, I'm fed up with the losing and fed up and frustrated and it's not an easy pill to swallow right now," Eichel said. "It's been a tough couple months, it's been a tough five years with where things have went. I'm a competitor, I want to win every time I'm on the ice, I want to win the Stanley Cup every time I start a season. I'm definitely not in the greatest place with where the last little bit went and it's definitely worn on me."
