Sen. Gillibrand introduces Even Playing Field Act of 2021

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — With the Tokyo Olympic games underway, U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand wants to pass a bill requiring equal pay for U.S. national teams.
She says the U.S. Soccer Federation pays members of the women’s team just 38 cents for every dollar paid to their male counterparts.
Passing the Even Playing Field Act of 2021 would mean equal pay, investment and working conditions for national athletes, coaches and personnel.
