Bills to retire Thurman Thomas' number on Monday Night Football

A Buffalo Bills legend is being enshrined among the greatest in franchise history.

Former Bills running back Thurman Thomas will have his number 34 jersey retired this upcoming season when the Bills take on the New England Patriots on October 29 for Monday Night Football.

Thomas will become the the third player to have his number retired in franchise history joining only Jim Kelly and Bruce Smith to have achieved the honor.

The Texas native played 13-years in the NFL after being drafted by the Bills in the 1988 NFL Draft.

The 2007 Hall of Fame inductee is the Bills all-time leader in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.
