(WHEC) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday the US Open will be held, but without fans.

The United States Golf Association says they will put protocols in place to protect players and staff, including testing, cleaning, using face coverings and social distancing.

The golf championship will take place from Sept. 14 to Sept. 20 at the Winged Foot Golf Club in Westchester.
