ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two people are in the hospital after a pair of overnight shootings in separate areas of Rochester. Both are expected to survive.

One victim, an 18-year-old man, was shot on Pierpont Street near Driving Park on Wednesday morning. The Rochester Police Department responded to calls for shots fired at around 12:40 a.m. and learned that the man had been taken to Rochester General Hospital in a private car.

The other victim, a 31-year-old man, was shot on Garson Avenue, between Denver Street and Greeley Street, on Tuesday night. RPD responded at 9:45 p.m. and found that many shots had been fired in the area. They later learned that he had been taken to Rochester General Hospital in a private car for treatment.

There are no suspects in custody in either shooting. Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.

On Tuesday night, there were also shots fired into the window of a local business on Portland Avenue. RPD said the business wasn’t the intended target and that they’re following up on several leads.
