$3 movies Saturday in celebration of National Cinema Day

ROCHESTER, N.Y. If you’re looking to go to the movies Saturday, you can get a ticket for just $3!

Today is National Cinema Day, and movie theaters are celebrating by selling tickets for three bucks. This price applies across all tickets, formats and showtimes, including IMAX and 3D.

A growing list of 3,000 theaters, including AMC, Regal and Cinemark, are taking part in the promotion. Labor Day weekend is typically a slow time for movie theaters, due to a lack of new releases.
