Appliance manufacturers must meet new energy efficiency standards in NYS

ALBANY, N.Y. – The standards apply to refrigerators, washing machines, and a whole lot more. Appliances for sale must be on the State Appliance Standards Database. That’s a list of approved appliances which has more than 44K items listed right now.
Even though this new database is in effect, manufacturers can still sell the appliances they already have in their inventory.
